Scholar-in-Residence Weekend: Jewish Ethics in the Age of AI

Temple Beth Shalom is honored to welcome Dr. Rebecca Friedman, Professor of Jewish Ethics at Hebrew Union College, for our annual Scholar-in-Residence Weekend. Dr. Friedman will explore how Jewish ethical traditions can guide us through the moral challenges posed by artificial intelligence and emerging technology.

Weekend Schedule

  • Friday Evening: Lecture following Shabbat services - 'What Would the Rabbis Say About AI?'
  • Saturday Morning: Torah study session connecting the weekly parasha to technology ethics
  • Saturday Afternoon: Workshop - 'Practical Jewish Ethics for the Digital Age'
  • Sunday Morning: Brunch and panel discussion with community leaders

Dr. Friedman's visit is made possible by the Kessler Family Lecture Fund. All events are free and open to the public.
