Erev Shabbat Service

Shabbat candles glowing warmly

Our Friday evening Erev Shabbat service is the centerpiece of our congregational worship life. This joyful, musical service welcomes the Sabbath with prayer, song, and reflection. Rabbi Goldstein and Cantor Levy lead the congregation in a blend of traditional liturgy and contemporary melodies that speak to the heart.

What to Expect

  • Candle lighting and Kiddush to welcome Shabbat
  • Congregational singing with guitar and keyboard accompaniment
  • Torah-inspired sermon by Rabbi Goldstein
  • Special blessings for birthdays, anniversaries, and milestones
  • Oneg Shabbat reception with challah, wine, and refreshments following the service

Visitors are always welcome. Prayer books with English transliteration are available so everyone can participate fully. The service lasts approximately 75 minutes.
